Every ten years, after the census, the Florida Legislature redraws the boundaries of our congressional, state House and state Senate districts. This process is intended to ensure that districts are equal in population and every person has equal representation. Unfortunately, legislators who draw the districts are motivated by only one thing: keeping themselves in power.

Self-serving politicians use partisan gerrymandering to manipulate the system unfairly. We can't risk another set of maps that threaten to deprive Floridians of the chance to make their voices heard. Our lawmakers need to redistrict openly, in full public view, and comply with the FairDistricts Amendments this year. And they need to start right now!
